Class 847, RegioFox

The 847 series, which has been named RegioFox by České dráhy, is a two-car engine unit produced from 2022 by PESA Bydgoszcz in Poland. Currently, ČD has ordered 108 units, with a further 52 units available for order. Of these 108 units, 10 are to be operated in the Central Bohemian Region, 7 in the Pardubice Region, 33 in the Hradec Králové Region, 9 in the Vysočina Region, 7 in the South Bohemian Region, 10 in the Pilsen Region, 30 in Prague and its surroundings and 2 in the Karlovy Vary Region. The price of one unit in 2023 was around CZK 90 000 000. The units are wheelchair accessible, air-conditioned, have Wi-Fi connection, and allow transport of bicycles, strollers, skis and other luggage. LS06 and ETCS signalling systems are installed on these units. Technically, the units are based on the 844 series, which can be seen on Czech lines for over ten years.
